A friend had requested I give the Chaos Hell Blade figter a shot as a papercraft model, and it was a surprisingly simple model to build. I had a bit of an issue trying to figure out the proper scale and some parts that didn’t have very clear images, but I managed to work through that and recreate the resin kit pretty closely. One thing I noticed I missed after the fact is that the under-slung autocannons should be twin-linked. Means I need to go back and edit the front of the weapons pods to cover part of the steeply angled air intake to fit the second row of cannons.

The wings are just thick enough to contain a sheet of pre-cut foamboard, so they end up being pretty sturdy for card models. After testing for any flight characteristics (throwing it across the room) I can confirm that so far, not a single 40k model is designed with anything approaching practical aerodynamics. I.E.: nothing says advanced atmospheric fighter like exposed hoses, cables and rivets!
